1. Why do I need to subscribe to Sage Cover?
Sage Cover is a way to protect your investment in UBS Software. Your subscription to Sage Cover secures your rights to future software enhancements. You can also enjoy a wide range of benefits as a subscriber such as preferential pricing for Add On modules.
2. If I do not renew my Sage Cover Plan when it expires, will my UBS system still work?
Yes, you have a permanent license to use UBS software. Renewal of Sage Cover plan is optional but highly recommended because you can receive and enjoy the latest software features and updates.
3. Why do I have to continue upgrading my software when I am happy with the lower or current version?
The choice to upgrade to newer versions is yours to make. You will be able to enjoy updates and upgrades for 12 months from the date your license is activated.
However if you do not have Sage Cover after expiry of the 12 month period, you will not be able to enjoy new features that will be available in the new versions. Older versions of UBS software may not be supported on new hardware or operating systems. Therefore Sage Cover is like insurance for your software license.
4. What do I receive as the proof of purchase of Sage Cover?
Upon activation of your software, UBS will issue a Certificate of Sage Cover that will be sent directly to you. So make sure your details are properly recorded when your license was activated. It would also be useful to provide a current email address so that you can receive news and updates from us.
The Certificate will indicate your registration information, product information and your Sage Cover period. Please contact us immediately of any of the information is not correct.
5. I might have forgotten to renew my Sage Cover Plan, is there any follow up reminder besides the Renewal Notice?
From version 9.4 onwards, one month before your Sage Cover Plans expires, when user’s login into their system, UBS software will pop up a reminder to renew your Sage Cover Plan. However, users can opt to disable the reminder. For earlier version, you can contact our customer marketing department to check on your Sage Cover Status.
6. I am interested to renew, how should I go about it?
You can contact the partner/associate that is servicing you for further assistance with the renewal. Alternatively, you can renew directly with UBS. Kindly contact us, the Customer Marketing Department at 1 300 88 SAGE for further assistance.
7. What do I receive as the proof of renewal?
Yes UBS will issue a new Certificate of Sage Cover which will be sent directly to you once your renewal is processed. The certificate contains your latest registered information, product information and the new Sage Cover period.
8. How do I utilize the benefits as a Sage Cover subscriber?
Always indicate to your servicing partner/associate that you are an active Sage Cover subscriber every time when you are dealing with them.
9. How do I inform UBS if there are any changes on the registered information e.g. mailing address, contact number and etc?
Please update us in writing via normal mail or send an email to us at scubs@ubs-software.com. Any changes on the registered company details and information will have to be supported by official document(s).
10. Whom shall I contact if I am interested to know more about Sage Cover?
You may contact your Authorised UBS Partner or Associate who serves you. Alternatively you may visit our website at www.ubs-software.com for more information or contact UBS through our toll free number 1 300 88 SAGE (7243), look for Customer Marketing Department.
11. I am not satisfied with the service level of my current servicing agent, can I make a request to change?
Yes, you could put forward your request to us in writing together with the reason of the change. Please furnish us your desired partner/associate company name that will be serving you in future.
12. I am using International version for UBS software, can I sign up for Sage Cover?
No. Sage Cover Plan is only applicable for Malaysia Edition. Customer with international version can only upgrade their version and a spoilt dongle can be replaced with a nominal fee.
